I just adore Dare. He is big, forward, in your face. He is my shadow. I can trust this dog anywhere. He is a one dog daycare center at town events, social with people and other dogs. He has been aggressively charged by other dogs and simply does not react, deflating their bravado nicely. I travel alone to sheepdog trials and always have Dare with me. He is entirely friendly and stable, but I know he will be quite serious about any real threats.

I originally planned to do agility with Dare. After he arrived I became more and more committed to sheepdog trialing and finally abandoned agility. We have done some protection, which is his favorite activity. He is my first dog for training in all three phases of Schutzhund (obedience, tracking, protection) so I'm clumsy at best. I don't know that I'll ever find the time to get him trial ready in the obedience and tracking, though his protection work was close. My major time commitment remains the working sheepdogs.

Dare was bred to a Tervuren bitch out of working Malinios in Canada. The pups were quite nice and have been used in breeding for folks producing strong working temperament in the Belgians.
